At the end of each day look in the mirror and ask yourself did I get better today? If you do this each day by a small margin can you imagine how good you will be in 1 year, 3 years, 6 years, and 10 years. You will not only exceed your expectations but you will also exceed everyone else’s.
Small incremental changes and steps will eventually lead you to places and goals that you once dreamed about. Sometimes it is hard to find these little changes that are going to make the difference, but that’s where I as a coach come in to help dig them out of the 6 inches between your ears and to help you think outside of the box.
Sir David Brailsford brought the mind-set shift to the British cyclists of when you improve everything by 1% you will get a massive increase when you put them all together. I saw this in my own personal development when I went on a life changing journey back in 2019 everything I changed all stacked up and this has had a massive positive effect on the man I am today.
I questioned my changes a few weeks in as I wasn’t seen the results quick enough but once I stayed committed each day to my new routines the changes did come and to this day I can look in the mirror and honestly say I get better each day. Some days are better than others but my daily commitment is the key to a better me.
We can’t do it alone, to get to the place of mastery we have to have the right people in place to help us, the right attitude and the belief in ourselves that we can become the person to achieve all we want.
How can you get better?
- Positive self-talk (it’s a must)
- Invest in a coach
- Slow down and rest when the body needs it
- Write in a journal
- Surround yourself with positive people who will support you and drive you on
- Positive mantras
- Build yourself up and don’t let anyone put you down
- Good daily routines repeated each and every day
- Exercise and good healty foods
- Taking action is a must to get things done
Stacking up or compounding all the good is key but be mindful bad routines stack up also. You can and you will do whatever you want with the right mind frame. Take the first step to a better you.
