We all have dreams, visions or ideas floating around in our heads 24/7 but taking the first step towards bringing that dream or idea to light can be overwhelming. We can start to question ourselves, our ideas and wonder maybe ‘is this for me’? Maybe my vision isn’t big enough, my dream is just a dream but what if you’re wrong or maybe your idea, your dream is the next big thing.
You have to start by saying ‘it’s my time’ to bring my visions and ideas out of my head and into a business that will bring incredible value to the marketplace. It’s my time to start playing on the court because sitting in the stands no longer feeds my hunger for growth. The fear of the unknown can be crippling but the fear of regret can bring you to your knees. Play in the court!
I see it myself having been the founder of a few business start-ups it’s tough, it’s stressful, and it pushes you to the limit where your back can be to the wall many times at the start. There will be days where the bills will be mounting up, the cash reserves running low and you question the process in how will you ever get over the present hump.
In a young business you will have to take on many different roles and be prepared to put in the extra work that sometimes never seems to end. But rest assured the light will shine through, the rewards will come once you keep marching forward, keep showing up and having the mind-set of getting better by 1% each day.
The right environment is key and surrounding yourself with likeminded people is a must for growth in business. Working with a coach, being part of a business course or a mentor can often be the difference in the business going from being a little stuck and stagnant to taking a big leap forward. We all need help and getting the right people on your team at the start is never to be underestimated. In a great team environment people can brainstorm ideas and great results can be had.
A great quote by Inky Johnson “Don’t be frustrated by the results you didn’t get because of the work you never did.”
In tough times keep showing up, reach out to people for support when your business is a little stuck and keep believing your time will come because the people that never give up, who never throw in the towel will rise above the rest.
The key to the door you are looking for is you, your dreams and successes await you on the other side. Now take the first step and walk through.
